Glossary

Organisation : The business and its data inside Salut ERP.

Store : The location where sales happen and inventory is tracked.

SKU : A specific item you buy, sell, or hold.

SKU pack : A format containing a known quantity of the SKU, such as a box of 12 units.

Global library : A shared catalogue for finding products and adding them as linked SKUs to your organisation.

Assortment : The set of SKUs available to a store.

Price list : Sales prices applied to a store.

POS : The checkout in Salut ERP Desktop where a cart is prepared and paid.

Inventory position : The calculated quantity of one SKU in one store.

Stock movement : A record that increases, reduces, or adjusts inventory.

Goods receipt or delivery : A movement recording goods received.

Stock issue : A movement reducing stock outside a sale.

Inventory revision : A real count that creates the required adjustment.

Sale : A completed transaction bringing together lines, payments, and a receipt.

Sale line : One product, quantity, and price within a sale. Every accepted weighing creates a separate line.

MISC : A line for an occasional sale without a prepared SKU; it can also be sold by weight.

Payment : The amount and method used to settle a sale.

Receipt : The sale record that can be printed or reprinted.
